What I did:

1) I logged in
2) I was redirected to http://mlkshk.com/friends
the page looked very blank
3) no link to add friends and no explanation either

suggestion: put the name of the person who invited me there

This is absolutely a good idea and something we need to work on. The first thing you should see is several options to add friends and find friends (Twitter, Facebook).

We have a new "dashboard view" coming in the next few weeks that will hopefully fix this, but I will make sure Amber (who is designing it) takes into account that need to get friends before it starts working.
