500 internal server when attempting to save this .gif using Chrome extension

Reported by Brett O'Connor | January 27th, 2011 @ 06:35 AM

What I did:

  1. Went here: http://negatendo.net/blog/2009/03/14/gif-rip-from-the-wackness/
  2. Retitled the image and attempted to save.

What I expected to happen:

Image to be saved to my shake.

What actually happened:

500 internal server error

If you go to the image URL alone and attempt to save it works fine. Downloading the image and uploading directly via "Upload a File" works as well. Saving other animated .gifs from the website works too.

Er. Sorry. To be clear: I went to the page, chose to save the image via the Chrome plugin, and THEN tried to retitle it in the plugin popup and save.

Ahh! It's a timeout. The file is taking too long to download. We have a set of error pages to roll out for the popups. This should at least explain why that didn't work.
