No checking of filesize prior to file upload

What I did: attempted to upload large file. 24 Mb .mp4
What I expected to happen: Javascript read-ahead of filesize. (Available in HTML5 file object) OR parsed error page reporting file was too large to process.
What actually happened: after entirety of upload presented with error'd page "413 Request Entity Too Large"

Also: you can't upload video files yet, just images (JPG, GIF, PNG). If you want to post a link to a YouTube, Vimeo, or Flickr video, you can use the link on the front page and provide the URL.
The messaging on what files you can upload and link to definitely needs to be addressed.
