“1 like” on newly liked image isn't clickable

What I did:

Find an image that no one has “liked” yet.
Go to its permalink /p/ page.
Click the “Like” button.
Observe that “0 Likes” in the sidebar changes to “1 Like.”
Click “1 Like” in the sidebar.

What I expected to happen:

The list of who liked the image to open as on images where someone has already liked the image.

What actually happened:

A sense of sadness suffuses you as you are forbidden from basking in your fashion-setting exceptionalism.

Haha, that must be a new one, it definitely worked before. I just verified it.
