Getting 502 (Bad Gateway) for Many Thumbnails

What I did:
Surfed around the Incoming Shake

What I expected to happen:
I'd see thumbnails for all of the images, like I always do.

What actually happened:
Many thumbnails were broken. A quick "Inspect Element" and checking the URL in a new tab later, and I got 502 errors for them (example: http://mlkshk.com/r/1102).

This may be related to #67. FWIW, I've never encountered this issue before.

We're going to remove the thumbnail expiration as part of ticket #80 since it's really a non-issue. This will be fixed on Monday (or sooner if time permits).
